Upon arrival at Manaus Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Manaus.
You will be transferred to your selected lodge (Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge). The program of activities depends on the selected lodge.
OPTION 1 – MONKEY FOREST: Facilities for rehabilitation and re-introduction of wild animals (known as the Monkey Forest), established in 1991. Purpose: to receive animals confiscated from illegal commerce. It’s a joint project with the Municipal Secretary of Environment and Sustainability. Animals are initially quarantined, evaluated, and cared for by a team of veterinarians and biologists. The Monkey Forest is open to guests during feeding times, accompanied by a credentialed professional, allowing filming and photography in a natural and safe environment.
Note: Twice a year the monkeys move away for 2-3 weeks to travel through the forest and demarcate their land. During this period will not be possible to see the monkeys, only the one in quarantine.
OPTION 2 – NIGHT TOUR IN CANOE: Depart the lodge in paddle or motorized canoes to experience the sounds of the jungle at night. Opportunity to spot small alligators or other nocturnal creatures. Alligators are identified by their eyes shining like small red lights. Once an alligator is spotted by the guide’s spotlight, the guide will attempt to catch it with bare hands and bring it onto the canoe for a brief explanation of its habitat. The alligator will then be safely released back into the river. No harm is done to any of the animals.
Note: During ‘High Water Level’ season (from April to August) and on full moon evenings, it might be difficult to find alligators.

Nature Hike: The day begins with a nature hike to explore the biodiversity of ECOPARK, including uncatalogued species in virgin rainforest, natural savannahs, and creeks. Crystal clear warm water streams are also mentioned. A guide will educate clients on local flora & fauna, finding edible fruits and potable water, first aid, and navigation in the forest.
Visit To The Caboclo’s House: Depart the lodge by boat or motorized canoe, accompanied by a bilingual guide, to learn about the traditions and customs of local Amazonian “Natives.”

Meeting of the Waters: Depart to ECOPARK on a regional double-deck boat, navigating down the Negro River along the shore of Manaus. This allows passengers to view landmarks such as the Amazonas Theater, the Port of Manaus, the Customs, and local life aspects like stilt houses. Arrival at The Meeting of the Waters by 11:30 AM.
This is a spectacular merge of Negro and Solimões Rivers. From this point, both rivers form the Amazon River. The waters of the two rivers run together for about 12 kilometers, side by side, without mixing. This phenomenon is attributed to differences in temperature, density, and speed of the waters.

You will be transferred to the Manaus Airport to board your flight back home.
